  The Pelican 0500 is currently used by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for storage of the personal protection equipment (PPE) kit required for the control and prevention of the avian disease.

This reusable carrying case is the ideal container solution for storage of first aid kit, non-contaminant gear such as gloves, goggles and suits. The case will hold all of the equipment needed in order to collect birds and related specimens.
 
The airtight and watertight sealing characteristics of the 0500 container prevent the spread of highly contagious, infectious, or communicable disease of suspected aves.

The case can be easily cleaned and disinfected using standard biosecurity practices such as disinfectant mats with a 1:10 bleach/water solution or other proven solution that kills the avian flu virus.
