Pelican 1450 Case - Electronic gear survival

The Pelican 1450 is a traveling safe house for cameras and delicate accessories.  No bad elements will ever violate this virtually indestructible case.  Created from ultra high-impact structural copolymer, this lightweight and sleek carrying case is the ideal companion for amateur and professional photographers who yearn to hit the road without worrying about lenses, flashes, and other digital devices.

The ability of the Pelican 1450 to withstand extreme environments and harsh conditions is the result of an open-cell core and solid-wall design.  Its plush, protective interior is an oasis for digital camera equipment. High-density foam or padded dividers guard against impact, vibration and shock.

ABS easy-open double throw latches, a 0.25" (6.4 mm) o-ring seal, and an automatic pressure equalization valve guarantee the case is always watertight.  The equalization valve also balances sudden changes in atmospheric pressure, so important when transporting camera batteries and other accessories.

Stainless steel hardware, including hinge pins, heavy-duty deflector ribs and flanges allow this reusable transport solution to be padlocked for security against theft.  That’s what a safe house is for: it keeps the bad elements out.

The Pelican 1450 is nice for the photographer, too.  The rubber over-molded fold-down handle provides a comfortable grip, whether running to catch a plane, train or bus, or merely lifting into an overhead bin.

Interior dimensions leave plenty of space for storage: 14.88"L x 10.5"W x 6"H.  The 1.75" lid closes over a 4.25" base.  Exterior dimensions are a trim 16"L x 13"W x 6.88"H.  When empty, the Pelican case weighs only 5.51 lbs; with foam padding add 7 lbs.  Buoyancy, 30 lbs.  Extreme weather, -40/210F.
